Protruding from the side of a cliff, about 1,200 feet (366 m) above a lake, it looked like a craggy, 40-ft (12-m) human face. Years of freezing weather and the feature's already precarious position caused the beloved local symbol and tourist destination to collapse in 2003. American statesman Daniel Webster once said that the Old Man was God's way of saying what? More... Discuss |

So sorry about Pup. Hang in there and know you are being thought of.
Hugs.
Thank you Sandy. It is quite like a carnival...especially on Fremont Street. Thanks for the visit.
Thanks Karen....for the visit and the comment. Aren't the buildings beautiful at night?!
Urban Thought....I miss Vegas, too. I'd like to live there! Perhaps when I retire. Sounds like a plan to me!
Keith, if you've never been to Vegas....you should go. It's one place I think everyone should visit at least once in their life. You won't regret it.
Gattina....it has change drastically since I was there many years ago. It's like sensory overload! Over the top and breathtaking.
Thanks for stopping by.
Mah-Meeee....I'm glad you liked the images. These were some of the best ones that depicted the 'night life'. Hope you get to go back ago soon.
Thanks for the visit and comment.
Em, thank you for the kind words. The structures lend themselves to beautiful images. I especially like the Palazzo!
Erin, I agree. There are so many beautiful neon signs in Las Vegas. Many of the older signs are being restored and they plan to open a Neon Sign Museum. Glad to know they aren't destined for the neon graveyard.
After the sun sets, that's when the REAL Las Vegas shines. Great photos, Patty.
Ya gotta love Vegas!
Great pics.
San, lots of magical things happen in Las Vegas....under the cover of darkness :-)
Oh Snooker...I do love Vegas!
