He helped write the constitution and pushed for direct popular election of the president. The mass civil unrest of May 1968 by students and workers almost toppled his government, and in 1969 de Gaulle was defeated in a referendum on constitutional amendments and resigned. Thank You EZ. As I told you, the personal images are from my Mom's funeral. The video moves on to pain and sorrow around the world...then ends with a message of Hope.

Patty, this is heart-wrenching and beautiful. A montage which clearly depicts the universal nature of suffering. And that stone with the message of Hope, that gorgeous rose remind us to work for a better day.
